The core function of a high-pressure common rail system is to achieve extremely precise fuel injection through an independent pressure system and electronic control, thereby improving engine combustion efficiency, optimizing emissions, and enhancing power performance. It mainly consists of a high-pressure fuel pump, a common rail, electronically controlled fuel injectors, and an ECU (electronic control unit). The high-pressure fuel pump pressurizes the fuel to 1600-2500 bar and stores it in the common rail. The ECU precisely controls the fuel pressure and injection timing based on the engine's real-time operating conditions. In this way, the injection pressure is no longer affected by engine speed, maintaining high-pressure injection even at idle.
