GP2-6600-EA
The oil pump is a core component of the engine lubrication system. Its main function is to draw engine oil from the oil pan, pressurize it, and force it to the friction surfaces of all moving parts of the engine, ensuring proper lubrication. The oil pump operates through a gear or rotor structure: the driving gear is driven by the engine, which in turn rotates the driven gear, forcing the oil from the inlet chamber along the tooth gaps to the outlet chamber, creating a continuous oil flow. If the oil pump malfunctions (such as insufficient pressure or blockage), it may lead to poor lubrication, abnormal engine noise, or overheating.
