AC19-9176AA
The main function of a diesel fuel filter is to intercept solid impurities (such as dust and metal particles), organic compounds (such as gum), and soot in diesel fuel, preventing them from entering the engine and causing wear or clogging of the fuel system. It also separates water from the diesel fuel, preventing the acid formed by the reaction of sulfur and water from corroding internal engine components. Furthermore, it reduces wear on components such as the fuel pump and injectors caused by impurities, ensuring fuel injection accuracy and stable engine power output. Depending on diesel fuel quality and environmental conditions, it is recommended to replace the filter element every 5,000-10,000 kilometers or 100-200 hours.
